About us

Yarm & District Saddle Club is affiliated to the British Riding Clubs. We are in Area 2 which covers Northumberland, Durham, North Yorkshire and North Cumbria. We have been running for 30 years and are based around the Yarm and Middlesbrough area.

The aim of the club is to provide a central "hub" through which members can meet other riders and participate in events and training such as dressage, show jumping and cross country. 

The club is run by a committee of volunteers who organise social events as well as horsey events. A newsletter is produced four times a year which is circulated to all members and contains details of all forthcoming events, training, area news, results and any contributions from members.

We pride ourselves as being a friendly club and any new members are made to feel welcome at all of our events.

So if you have a horse or ride one regularly come and join us and have some fun! You may then have the chance to participate and represent the club at area and championship competitions. These competitions are open to individuals and teams at all levels and take place in all disciplines.

In order to run events we always need help from members but we use this as a way of meeting and making new friends who have a passion for horses.
